75 Reset

In life, we get knocked around. We have to learn some lessons and in those lessons, we learn more about ourselves.  We learn how strong we are, how we can bend with strong winds and not snap.  We begin to understand that we can overcome obstacles, but not alone.  We learn that God is by our side sheltering, protecting us, and giving us strength.  Getting knocked down is hard, but getting back up is harder.  We must fight to move forward.  We must get up and never give up.  This is the cornerstone of everything in our lives. Without the will to proceed in the storm we will lose our way and be lost to a fate, not of our making.

So, here’s the thing.  I have just been knocked down, hard.  My mother passed away unexpectedly.  Losing a parent is one thing in life that takes your breath away and takes some time to regroup.  My progress in the 75 Hard challenge has been broken but I am not done.  I will mourn, I will begin to heal, and I will get back up.  Soon, I will start once more upon my 75 Hard journeys on day one. I have learned grace and forgiveness in this journey.  I am human and not perfect but perfectly made.

In times of trouble, God is with us, and when we are knocked down, we get up again. We suffer persecution, but are not forsaken; we are cast down, but we perish not: We are persecuted, but God does not leave us. We are hurt sometimes, but we are not destroyed. persecuted, yet not forsaken; struck down, yet not destroyed. (2 Corinthians 4-9)
